The Rarely Ordinary Rogers

OUR STORY

A family of eight, finding our way through the hard and beautiful parts.

We’re the Rarely Ordinary Rogers: a family with three sons and three daughters, sharing life as it really is. There are the everyday things we love, the unexpected turns, and the moments that ask more of us than we thought we had.

Our oldest son died by suicide on July 26, 2025. We miss him deeply. We speak about grief and mental health because silence can make the hardest things feel even lonelier.

Our eight-year-old daughter lives with a rare genetic disease, severe epilepsy and congenital heart defects, and is under hospice care. We share parts of our caregiving journey to raise awareness and help other families feel seen.

We’re not here because we have everything figured out. We’re here as a family, learning to carry love and loss together, and hoping our story reminds someone else they aren’t alone.
